Description:
Dafama2K7 has supplied an updated version to his re-touched View NG mod, this mod is designed for Doom III Base only, for the Resurrection of Evil version, click here...it is, however, not compatible with other mods. View is for people who want to play an intense, hard game with more realism, and going with the realism theme, there is no unlimited ammo here; The laser sights can be useful, but you can lose your aim at rapid fire.
Some changes/fixes found in this version include:
- Fixed CrossHair & balanced Laser Sights size.
- Added smart A.I. for Imps, Vulgars, Maggots, Trites, Cherubs...
- Fixed Blood decals for Plasmagun.
- Fixed some small & not so small bugs.
Once you're inside this mod, you'll notice that there are no crosshairs in the game, this is due to the introduction of the laser sights; Most of them will even glow to give you enough lighting in the dark, but not enough to make you fell like you are cheating, Something else that will raise your eyebrows the fact that the developer has also increased the visuals to a higher level, although, to enjoy this, you will need a PC that can run it.

"View NG 1.6 doom3 & Resurrection of Evil" is a collaboration of a few mods to make a lighting, sound and visual enhancers mod. This mod crosses over both "Doom 3" and "Resurrection of evil".
This "View NG 1.6 Doom 3 & Resurrection of Evil" will not work properly with other mods... use this mod by it self.
This mod is for people who want to play a hard game with more realism, no unlimited ammo here, with laser sights you can lose your aim at rapid fire.
I did not like how the flash light mods were made. so I took the best mods that I could find and changed things. I have removed the cross hairs and replaced it with laser sightings (most of them even glows to give you enough lighting in the dark, but not enough to make you fell like you are cheating). I have also pushed the visuals to a higher level (need a good computer to run this at full visuals).

-It will work on the expansion "Resurrection of Evil".

-made the laser sighting have perfect aim (veiw 1.1 was a little off from
the laser sight to where you actually shot).
-zombies come back to life (lower % of coming back to life, plus more
time needed to come back to life than original mod).
-bullet shells stay behind.
-added "Detailed Doom3" only to zombies, weapons and undead (everything
else stayed the same)
-added "PolyModifier"

-chaingun, machine gun and shotgun has a glowing laser sight for night
vision.

Have fun with this mod, and you can change it as much as you want.
Gil
Instalation:
-FOR DOOM 3 base
Place the "View for Doom3" folder into your Doom 3 folder ("C:\Program Files\Doom 3")
From Command Line you can acces by entering Doom 3 folder with...:
cd "C:\Program Files\Doom 3"
and then executing the next command...:
Doom3.exe +set fs_game view +disconnect
That's all !!!
-FOR DOOM 3 EXPANSION "Resurrection of Evil" (ROE/D3XP)
Place the "View for Doom3 Resurrection of Evil" folder into your Doom 3 folder ("C:\Program Files\Doom 3")
From Command Line you can acces by entering Doom 3 folder with...:
cd "C:\Program Files\Doom 3"
and then executing the next command...:
Doom3.exe +set fs_game_base d3xp +set fs_game view_d3xp +disconnect
That's all !!!
Also both mods can be selected using the MODS in the MainMenu in both Doom 3 and D3XP !
