Description: Making great things greater...Dafama2K7 has worked his magic and released the latest and greatest version of the super popular modification, Annihilation X NG! For those of you just coming out of a coma, Annihilation X (tweaked by Team Annihilation {TA}) is a very enhanced version of Spunky's Annihilation 4.0. While it may have most of the same files, skins, some weapons, and so on, Annihilation X is truely one of the greatest pieces of work that you, the D3 gamer, will download. With it's highly anticipated release by it's fans, this latest and greatest release of the Annihilation modification is sure to be a fan pleaser. And if you are not a fan, download this work of art, and you will be!
A few features of Annihilation X are:
- The monsters now look more realistic.
- Enhanced gore.
- New bullet holes and sparks.
- New monsters.
- New pets and AI.
There have been a few changes/additions/fixes since the last version was released, but the most important change made is to the Doom3 gaming experience that you will be subjected to...it has been improved! I know, this is something that would not have been thought possible, so don't take my word for it, the download link is a little lower!
Some of the changes/tweaks in this version include:
- Fixed Pet_Pinky, Cacodemon and LostSouls.
- Fixed Sentry.
- Fixed BackPack bug.
- Updated & fixed the following weapons:
- Pistol
- Machinegun
- Plasma gun

- Made Machinegun, pistol and Plasmagun in one script.

- Added Double_Shotgun to D3 base mod version.
- Less memory usage for both base & roe, so can be used in less powerfull computers.

AX NG v1.0...:
- Better Parallax shaders.
- Now, the GravityGun can catch fireballs & missiles from the enemies, just like the ROE Grabber do,

- Added support for D3XP (ROE) into an optional .pk4.zip file that can be renamed to .pk4 to be
enabled. (Needs the D3toROE v1.2 or higher .pk4 also to be on the mod's folder.)
- Removed support for pet_Archvile, pet_Sabaoth, pet_Guardian, they take too much memory that is
very needed to do other better new things, maybe Archvile will be used without this extra scripts,
i will try it...
- Support for the pet_Hunters.
- Added flares to zombie_maint_flashlight.
- Bug fixes.

For using Pets, when weapon_Fist are selected you can...:
Reload Key - Select a pet and command it to move, attack, follow, or stay.
When weapon_HandGrenade are selected you can...:
Reload Key - Command all pets to move or attack.
When weapon_Pistol, Machinegun or Plasmagun are selected you can...:
Reload key - Teleports all pets to a new location (only when pistol is already loaded). |  |

i tried updateing with the last two updates and now i just get a error at loading a map
error--joint `shoulders` not found for `head_joint_ on `player1`
hope u can fix this as downloading the mod from the start would take alot of time
I dont want to be an ***** but right now people are not making sp maps anymore all they do is mess around the graphics for vinalla doom3 and keep changing the skins of the demon. i dont mind annihilation x because i see Dafama2K7 did a great job on that but now alot of people are doing the same. I could create a sp maps if i wanted to but it keep having that stupid error that said couldnt load map everytime i load my created maps. I know they trying their best making better graphics and better textures. Well, enough about that , Great Mod!! ::keep it up
Well, I'm still trying to figure out if I properly installed all these updates, but I noticed another mod show up in my list as Annihilation_X (note the "_" between Annihilation and X). I tried to run this listing, it showed a new startup picture, but then errored out. Is this supposed to be the right mod listing to start with? Otherwise, clicking "Annihilation X" (the regular one with a space between Annihilation and X) runs ok, so far as that goes, except for the problem I'm still having with the Sentry bots in the Communication level (the part in the game where you get a sentry bot (out of a row of them) to open several locked doors for you. I still can't get the sentry bot to appear and do its duty. If I shoot at the spot where it's supposed to appear, it squeaks, but that's it.
I just want to know if I'm missing something in my installs. I noticed about 2 versions back, I installed the mod to a folder named "Annihilation_X", instead of "Annihilation X" (again, notice one has an underscore, the other a space). Is this causing a problem and how do I correct this?

I was made a mistake with the folder's mod name, because of this you have one mod with the folder named Annihilation X (that is the older mod that runs fine) and another with the latest updates and that is named Annihilation_X (that needs the full mod first to run), so you have to do this...:
-Make backups first.
-Copy the contents of the Annihilation_X folder to the Annihilation X folder and then rename the empy Annihilation_X folder.
-Finally rename the full + updated Annihilation X folder to Annihilation_X.
-Now, you will play with all the many updates, smart A.I., fixed Sentry, new weapons and all the latest features, enjoy ! 
I have it almost ready, bug fixes, updates for A.I., specially hunters and added enhanced support for ROE !!!

I'm getting that error, too, but I'm missing the Annihilation_X_beta file. I've downloaded it almost 10 times from this site, and it comes up as a corrupted WinZIP file.

For helping the users ! 
How do you edit those .pk4 files? I tried wordpad and it hung (wordpad did, not my system)
So you first need some unpacker like winzip or winrar to see and decompress/compress the files, then you can edit the files in the def and script folders with any ascii text editor like the very good TextPad editor program. 
I got Textpad and it worked, but when I deleted what was supposed to be deleted, now the mod won't come up at all, except for the first loading screen. I think I'll wait until you come out with the next upgrade.
