Artifact Remix Soundpack - File Description  


Description:
This is a pack of three revised sounds for the Artifact in RoE that are designed ot make Helltime and the other powers more unsettling to use. Inspired by the Berserk helmet in Doom3, the normal, soft swirling sound of Helltime has been overlaid with violent, horrible screaming. The sound for entering helltime is a painful shout, and the exit helltime sound is a sort of gasp as you are ripped back to reality.

There is a gameplay issue in that (by design) it's difficult to hear outside sounds over the vocals, but as jacked up as you are in Helltime (especially once you get the other abilities) it doesn't matter too much, especially since all the sounds are distorted anyway.

Artifact Remix Soundpack (for lack of a better name)

Install: just drop this pk4 int your d3xp folder and it should work by default.


No performance issues, and the only 'bug' is that the sound clip si the same length as the original, so it loops partway through and fades out part-way through the second loop as the exit sound engages. I might lengthen it eventually, as it plays for a set amount of time, and a longer clip would allow more horrible screaming ^_^
For those who are intrested, there area number of other voices underlying the main berserk scream for you to listen for.

Constructed using stock Doom3 sounds megered with Audacity, a downloadable sound editor.

Wow... thats what i call possesed by hell powers.. when ive played RoE i was always using hell time, but now dammm i always reconsider to used because of those damm screams xD loool ohh well anyway nicely done conversion ive like it keep them coming because the RoE Mod section is still average...

i like this mod..but the screams is scary
