Description:
Chex Quest was a total conversion for the original Doom that was distributed through specially marked packages of Chex cereal. All of the textures, weapons, monsters, items, etc... were changed to fit a theme that could be released in a cereal box, with the goal of creating a first person shooter that parents would allow their kids to play. Not only was there no killing involved in Chex Quest (that's right, no killing, the enemies are sent back to their own dimension) but there was also an educational value applied to the items. All health and armor items were replaced with bits of food and all sorts of balanced breakfasts.

Chex Trek... beyond the quest aims to become a total conversion for Doom 3 that recreates the feel of the original Chex Quest game. Though the only level currently in the mod is a remake of the first level in Chex Quest, called The Landing, no other recreations will be made. All textures will be created to have a brighter happier mood, to fit what the constraints were for Chex Quest. Eventually, all monsters will be re-modelled to look like Chex Quest's counterparts, including weapons and character models.

hey i have a mac, and i have been trying to download this, and it downloads fine, but then i can't play it. I dont know if i need to download something else so i can open the game into something else, or what? If anyone can give me step-by-step direction or just some help that would be great!! thanks!
