Just move "DoomConfig.cfg" to your doom 3 base folder.....start up doom 3 and enjoy clean doom 3! this is made for people that have either lag at playing doom 3 or for people who like simple clean feel like F.E.A.R

Posts: 3067 		So, this config. file deactivates shadows, right ???

Well, only one command is needed to do this...:

set r_shadows 0

Type this from console or include on Autoexec.cfg, not, never Doomconfig.cfg because it is overwritten every time a new Doom 3 is started !!! Pimp!

Posts: 48 		it removes shadows ,blood , specular and brass bullet shells and bloom to make a clean look and also made you move run and crawl tottally straight

Posts: 3067 		But really, i think you have skills to do something better, bigger, maybe better enhanced weapons mod or smarter, more aggressive monters, well, i am working on something like this actually but this or other kind of more developed mods would like more to D3 users, this is what i think, though any enhancement that is of practical use may come in handy, of course. Resistance is Futile!

Posts: 3067 		The guy that is voting always "1" for no reason, please, loose it, go to a HL site or something similar, really, this mod maybe its only a config. file but it deserves more because helps people without experience to get things faster on D3. Its a 5/10 from me !

Posts: 771 		avoid messing with the doomconfig.cfg, leave it as it is and instead either use a autoexec.cfg or a custom one, like whatevernameyouwanthere.cfg, and then execute it when you fireup a map, "exec autoexec.cfg" in console if you use the autoexec =)
As dafama says, the default doomconfig.cfg gets overwritten and uypdated by the game
