DM_Catacomb (2.0) - File Description  


Description:
This is the same map as DM_Catacomb except that this one performs *way better* on a performance standpoint even with the thick ambient fog in which it is immersed. There are less detail in it and the lighting has also been enhanced.

The clipping brushes near the 2 elevators are still annoying yet! Besides, there is that warning logged into the console after it is loaded: "no_info_player_deathmatch entities marked initial in map" ... Has it been tested online?

Ultimately, this doesn't change my opinion about it: I find it very successful.

Posts: 17 		alright guys ive decided not to send out the updated version.for a few reasons, i dont feel its fair to send out a new version just to fix a multiplayer problem.reason i say this is because doom3 has a real problem with custom map being played on the net , clients canot jion a server that is trying to run a custom map,unless the client and the server have the same files in the base folder (file for file). the only way i could test this over lan was to delete every file i had that my buddy didnot which is extremely odd, but if/when they fix this with a patch, i will release the update or if enough ppl want the update.........i hope they fix this so i can play other ppls maps on the net .
