Description:

A small update to this useful optimisation guide if you lack FPS. It adds links towards 2 tweaking tools for ATI cards (other than ATI Tray Tools).

I have played with them a little and my preference immediately went for the second one. It implements inside the display properties dialog and features a impressive list of well-documented options (contextual help). This one will remain installed on my system smile

I thought you would like one of them I made a choice at first between the two and picked rage3d then changed my mind and setup both of them. I said to myself,"why not Kyle?"The file's only like 2kb!!! LOL

Good choice, especially for a nVidia user smile

) There are so many tools of that sort that finding the right one is overcomplicated; I had given up very early in my search. Rage3D is the right one for me (it recalls me the 3dfx tools for the older Voodoo cards ...)

the tweaks that you posted for the config file actually made it slower because you turned off compression and left specular on, also the uncompressed .pk4 files are a mess cuz then you can't play on the internet and you have to keep swapping back and forth

the tweaking tools do work though although I find that they are not worth the time learning as the difference ain't that great

this is the best autoexec.cfg or config file so far that helped me gain A LOT for my system....

You might have found some extra code but I personally think my tweaks will work for everyone which is the point and I did note that about the recompression buddy.

Stil my tweaks, (ultimate tweak 3.0) is much better
Tweak doom3 so much as you want! and still have quality.
i have seen people having fps boost over a 35fps !

I made that tweak togehter with ross jarvis aka rsjrv99

Cant wait to try Doom 3 fully cos i have only got the demo. But it should be here soon so im going to try it then but will it work with my other mods what do graphic change.

any tips 2 make the frame skip quicker 4 inbuilt intel graphics??
