Description:
This mod pack contains a set of individual PK4 files, each of them affecting/doubling a specific aspect of the game (weapons accuracy/damage, player's stamina, visual FX etc). If you don't like the features offered by one of them, you just delete it! The Readme has extensive details about each of them. Finally, beginning this version, the mod can also used in multi player mode thanks to the DoubleSpawn "plugin" smile

- Display new interface.
- Exchage walk and run.
- 200 max for health and armor.
- Crosshair removed but hud is not hide.
- Double specular factor and map effects.
- Double damage of pistol, shutgun, machinegun, chaingun, plasmagun, rocket launcher and bfg. Second effects are applied to counterbalance.
- Double damage of turrets and zombies (pistol, shield, shotgun, machinegun and chaingun).
- Double projectile velocity of demons (hell knight, imp, mancumbus, revenant and cacodemon).
- All effects described above are also enabled in multiplayer mode.
- Add flame effects around all monsters.
- Add recall spawn effect when demons are dying.
- Cacodemon can spawn lostsouls like Pain elemental in Doom2.
- Zombie can respawn if its corpse is not immedialely destroyed.
- Player can hear strange sounds and can temporary lost the control of his weapon if he does not move.
- Non boss monsters can aleatory spawn.
- Demons walk and run twice faster.
- Flame color and damage depends of the monster state.
- Non boss and non flying monsters can health regen. Each monster is invulnerable while regening.
- News sounds for demons and weapons.
- News skins for demons and some bosses.
- (new) Advanced translucent flame effect using alpha blending for a better rendering.
- (new) Flame size is equals to monster one.
- (new) Lots of features can be costumized using console variables.
- (new) Up to two monsters can be spawn each five seconds in single player mode, more each 2.5 seconds in multiplayer mode.
- (new) Spawn monster feature is also enabled in multiplayer mode.
- (new) You can now play all multiplayer maps alone and fight the monsters as in single player mode.
- (new) The new volcano skins have lava parts which are animated. These parts are also larger and are always visible in the dark.
- (new) All weapons but flashlight and soulcube have a better metalic render skin. Grenades, plasmagun and bfg have also animated skins.

Double Doom 3

Mod details :

- For Doom3, version 1.3.1302, patch 1.3
- Can be used in single and multiplayer modes.
- Double player and monsters damages, double visual shader effects, no crosshair with hud displayed, flame visual effect around monsters, recall spawn visual effect, cacodemon can spawn lostsouls, zombies can respawn, player can hear strange sounds like the other marines, non boss monsters can aleatory spawn, demons walk and run velocity are doubled, flame color and damage depend of monster state, non boss and non flying monsters can health regen, almost demons have new sounds, the six first weapons have new sounds, almost demons have new skins, almost weapons have new skins, advanced blending flame effect, flame size is equals to monster one, aminated vulcano skins, metalic and animated weapon skin, enhanced spawn engine, spawn more monsters, also spawn monsters in multiplayer mode.

How to install and play :

- uncommpress the archive in the Doom 3 directory.
- make a shortcut and add '+set fs_game Double' to the file name in its properties.
- use this shortcut to lauch the game.
- otherwise, after uncompress the archive, use the mod menu to launch this mod is a good idea.
- all pictures, used in the skins and the screens, are not compatible with ultra quality video mode.

Remarks :

- modify it as you want, take any part of it ... but do not forget to cite me.
- use it with an other mod is not a good idea. You may experience unexpected crashes.
- the game, called Doom 3, is the property of Id Games. I did not modify the files of the game, I only made news ones to change the rules.
- remember that buy this game is the best way to play with.

What does this mod ?

This mod use several Double*.pk4 files which contains specified new features. If you do not want one feature, just remove the file that contains the feature. Here is the details of the files :

0) DoubleMenu.pk4

- Mainmenu, Start, Restart and Credits : display new interface.

1) DoublePlayer.pk4

- Speed : exchage walk and run.
- Heath : 200 max.
- Armor : 200 max.

2) DoubleCrosshair.pk4

- Crosshair : removed but hud is not hide.

3) DoubleShader.pk4

- Shader : double specular factor and map effects.

4) DoubleWeapon.pk4

- Pistol : double damage.
- Shotgun : better accuracy, double projectiles and then damage, double clip size, reload shells one by one, can not fire until the current shell is reloaded.
- Machinegun : better accuracy, double damage, double fire rate time.
- Chaingun : better accuracy, double damage, double fire rate time.
- Plasmagun : double damage, double fire rate, double projectile velocity.
- Rocketlauncher : better accuracy, double damage, double radius, double knockback, double fire delay.
- Bfg : double damage, double radius, double knockback, double fire rate, double fire delay, never overcharge.

5) DoubleMonster.pk4

- Turret : double damage, double fire rate time.
- ZombieSecurityPistol : better accuracy, double damage.
- ZombieSecurityShield : better accuracy, double damage.
- ZombieSecurityShotgun : better accuracy, double projectiles and then damage.
- ZombieSecurityMachinegun : better accuracy, double damage, double fire rate time.
- ZombieCommandoChaingun : better accuracy, double damage, double fire rate time.
- DemonHellKnight : no gravity effect on fireball, double projectile velocity.
- DemonImp : no gravity effect on fireball, double projectile velocity.
- DemonManCumbus : double projectile velocity.
- DemonRevenant : double projectile velocity.
- FlyingCacodemon : double projectile velocity.

6) DoubleMulti.pk4

- Applies 'Double' effects described above to multiplayer mode.

7) DoubleFlame.pk4

- Flame effect : around all monsters.
- Teleport : add recall spawn effect when demons are dying.
- Flame color and damage : depends of monster state.
- Non boss and non flying monsters : can fully health regen while fighting. Each monster is invulnerable while regening.
- Advanced blending flame effect : translucent and using alpha blending for a better rendering.
- Flame size : is equals to monster one. Now, the flames do not hide the skin of the small monsters.

In single player mode, type in the console :

- 'seta double_monsterRegen 0' to disable monster regen.
- 'seta double_monsterFlameTexture 0' to disable the flame textures.
- 'seta double_monsterFlameLight 0' to disable the flame lights.

Another value than the string '0' enables the effect. You can also add them in your Autoexec.cfg file.

8) DoubleCacodemon.pk4

- FlyingCacodemon : spawn lostsouls.

9) DoubleZombie.pk4

- All zombies : can respawn if its corpse is not immedialely destroyed in single player mode.

10) DoubleSpawn.pk4

- Player : can hear strange sounds and can temporary lost the control of his weapon if he does not move in single player mode.
- Monsters : can aleatory spawn, but bosses.
- Spawn : up to two monsters each five seconds in single player mode, more each 2.5 seconds in multiplayer mode.
- Spawn monster : is also enabled in multiplayer mode.
- Warmup : text is deleted. You can now play all multiplayer maps alone whithout this red text displayed.

In single player mode, type in the console :

- 'seta double_soundSpawn 0' to disable the strange sounds and the lost of weapon control.
- 'seta double_monsterSpawn 0' to disable the aleatory spawn of monsters.

Another value than the string '0' enables the effect. You can also add them in your Autoexec.cfg file.

11) DoubleDemon.pk4

- Demons : walk and run velocity are doubled, but crawl one is not.

12) DoubleSound.pk4

- Demons : have new sounds. The list is all demons but cherub and bosses.
- Weapons : have new sounds. The list is pistol, shotgun, machinegun, chaingun, grenade and plasmagun.

13) DoubleSkin.pk4

- Demons : have new skins. The list is all demons but tick and Sabaoth.
- Weapons : have new skins. The list is pistol, shotgun, machinegun, chaingun, grenade, rocketlauncher, bfg and chainsaw.
- Volcano skins : Lava parts are animated. These parts are also larger and are always visible in the dark. This last point is very useful if you do not use the DoubleFlame.pk4 files that adds lights around monsters.
- Metalic and animated weapon skin : All weapons but flashlight and soulcube have a better metalic render skin. Grenades, plasmagun and bfg have also animated skins. Their light parts are always visible in the dark.

14) DoubleLostsoul.pk4

Fixes looping sounds in multiplayer mode.


Remark :

- Use your old savegames with this mod crashes the game.
- Sometimes, the game will not properly displays visual effects or badly lauches new monsters. Just save the game, quit and relaunch.
