Hi all! I'm going to make this quick so that I can get back to mapping (no shit). This is a prefab of a Dr. Pepper machine for anyone to use in there map, it's a port of a Quake 2 prefab of the same made by Bok Choy, took like 4 sec to port but never the less here it is. Enjoy!

ehhh where do i place the files????

This is a prefab for mappers. You have to load a map your editing and then load the prefab from the edit menu, it doesnt matter where the pfb file is, but the directory in the zip must be placed under your doom 3 base directory and included in your PK4 release of you map.

but i placed the textures and the materials folders in the base and the pfb in my prefab folder (i made it myself for personal use stick out tongue

) and when i try to load it in my editor it doesn't work frown

Very odd, I'm at work now, but when I get off I'll check the prefab and make sure everything is ok. In the editor did you go to "EDIT > LOAD PREFAB"?

Ok I just test it, forgot I installed Doom 3 on my work machine too, it works fine though it doesnt load at 0 0 0 origin. Make sure you unzip and close and restart Doom 3, Doom 3 adds game *****ets as it loads.

i done all that in post 4 and 5...but when i load it i get an error (WARNING: Couldn't load image: _emptyname
Map version: 2.00) why???

I've had the "WARNING: Couldn't load image: _emptyname" warning ever sense I started the editing with Doom 3, but it's never caused a problem. As for why it's changing your map version I do not know, but I wouldnt think it's the prefab. All it is is a brush and two patches, with the textures and materials, for the textures to work. Start a new map and load it first thing see what happens, I get the "WARNING: Couldn't load image: _emptyname" when the editor loads, but again this has never effected me or my work from fuctioning properly. I'll start checking the boards.

While I'm thinking of it can someone else test to see if it's working for them, please.

I've just found out my identity has been stolen in RL and someone is using up all my credit, so I may be a little busy with legal ***** for doing any mapping/gaming stuff for awhile. I'll do my best to keep up tho.

Yes it does suck and I hope bad things for him to. Good news is I caught it before any bad points got racked up on my report, but will see if it stays that way. Funny thing is hs got a cell phone in my name two days ago with the number still active and I got the number, problem is cops wont do a damn thing. I also have a apt place where he used my credit and rented a place. I dont think he put the utilities in my name so it may turn out to be a brake.
