Duct Tape NoObEvEr (v1.2) - File Description  


Description:
Dafama2K7 has returned to once again raise the Doom3 level of excellence; To accomplish this, he has taken on the task of updating yet another mod to make it even better then it was previously. After almost a month, he has once again updated Duct Tape NoObEvEr (1.0), originally developed by Nighty, so that you, the Doom III community can reap the enjoyment of this game!
    Some of the original features of this mod are:
    • Adds a flashlight to all weapons, 2X more powerful then the standard hand flashlight.
    • Some weapon modifications made are:
      • The rate of fire
      • The power
      • The spread of shotgun
      • More realistic (not more easy, but more realistic).
    • All weapons sounds are modified for a more realistic sound.
    • The bodies stay on the floor.


Duct Tape NoObEvEr (v1.1) comes complete with a few changes, but this release is mainly about the fixes; As Dafama2K7 did not want to change the spirit of this mod, he just wanted to have it workable for the communities enjoyment.
    Some of the changes in this version include:
    • Fixed muzzleflash FX bugs
    • Also added a 'lite' version for people that just want a flashlight attached to all weapons, but no extra features like faster fire rate, more spread or new sounds.

INSTALLATION :

1 : Just copy the file pak005.pk4 in your Doom3/base directory.

2 : Have nice fun !!!!

History:

v1.2 - Fixed muzzleflash FX bugs, thanks to Billy Perrier for the feedback. :D
- Added also a lite version for people that just want a flashlight attached
to all weapons but no extra features like faster fire rate, more spread or
new sounds.

v1.1 - New updated version by Dafama.
- Added independant muzzleflash to all weapons.
- Fixed flicker on all mounted flashlights.
- Updated materials and lights.
- All weapon mounted flashlights casts shadows.
- Flashlight on hand have increassed long radius.

v1.0 - Original first release by Nighty.
- Add a flashlight on all fire weapons, 2 X more powerfull then the standard hand flashlight.
- Any weapons are modified, the rate of fire, the power, The spread of shotgun, all is more realistic (not more easy, but more realistic).
- All sound of weapons is modified by more realistic sound.
- The dead body, stay on the floor.

Why ? :

All series of doom are greats, and the maps of Doom 1 & 2 are liminous, the fun is always in rendez-vous no ?
Why not in Doom 3 ?

If someone find a bug, like black boxes appearing when firing the weapon or any kind of problem, please tell me, i will be happy to fix it as soon as possible. cool

Hi, I tried your Duke Tape mod, and it's very good. There is
everything I wanted... except a couple of things.
First, I think the pistol is too mighty. It's far more powerful than
the machine gun, and also deadlier than the chaingun in long
distances.
Second, and most important, there's another mistake id made and your
mod could address. I never use grenades or the soulcube, because it
takes too much time to switch weapon, throw them, and come back to a
firearm again. If the monster is far, you can use the rocket or light
weapons, 'cause you have the time and you are out of danger. But if
the monster is, like usual, close, then changing arm is dangerous, and
they can always hit you if you do so. It would be better being able to
throw grenades and the soulcube without drop your principal weapon,
and without even stop firing, like you can do in many games (Red
Faction 2, for instance). It's also logic, 'cause you are supposed to
use your left hand for this. That means dedicate two commands to the
"shot" of those weapons, in addition to the numeric commands who
"select" them. It's something many people would like, and there is
even a mod for toggle the grenade. The problem is it doesn't concern
the soulcube, and it's incompatible with Duke Tape, which is by far
more useful. I really don't know how to make a mod, so I would like to
ask you if you could add this feature to your mod. If you should, it
would be really great.

Thanks for the feedback Galarth, it is very important and welcome to me !

So, yes, in next releases i will make all you have said, because i think you are right, a quick launch key for at least SoulCube, handgrenade and in ROE the Artifact should have been in the game by default.

I will also check the pistol too powerful thingy, he he ! big grin

umm i just could u release a file where there the guns have NO flashlight but other of ur mods included?

lol it sounds weird but i kinda annoyed that the flashlight is always on

Is there anyway to make the grenade detonate instantly when it hits an enemy?
