Executive Quarters - File Description  


Description:

While fighting your way out of the recently invaded UAC base, you find a door whose marquee reads "Executive Quarters". After a while of searching e-mails in your PDA you find the code to the locked door and let yourself in. The vice president of the UAC had just welcomed his family to the UAC base on Mars for a visit when the demonic invasion hit. You find his bloody body along with his PDA in the hallway to the visitor aircraft docking station. You learn that his wife and daughter might still be alive, but they are somewhere in the executive living quarters hiding from the monsters. You decide to take the time and search for them and hopefully send them back to Earth safely. This is where the map begins.

This took way too long. Thanks to everyone who helped me get it done. Thanks to Obi-Wan for custom models and his excellent Shambler monster. Thanks to
Chris Buck for a few static props. Thanks to Sonic Clang for his soundwork (VO) as well as the awesome boss fight music. It truely turned out exactly how
I wanted. Lastly, thanks for SnoopJeDi for scripting the lifebar GUI on the bossfight. It really makes it stand out.

* How to launch *

Unzip the zip file into your doom3 folder. Then, place the pk4 file in /base/ and the shortcut file should remain in the main doom3 folder (where doom3.exe is loacted). Click on the shortcut to begin playing.

The shortcuts finds doom3.exe by default, which is C:\Program files\Doom3\Doom3.exe, if its different, please modify the shortcuts so it can locate the exe.

To launch the map manually type map hexum/exec

Great map, cool design!
Although it did make my system crash when it finished- the end credits would not disapear and i had to do a manual shut down to get out of it!
Really good work!!

I'd give it 10/10 but for the huge increment in running speed compared to the walking speed.. maybe a little less of a difference? Otherwise this map is just awesome!! Fantastic layout and some good scary moments! LOVED IT - hope u make MORE!! Beer! Beer!

Damn heXum, it's finally out. When did you last contact me for music and voices for this one? November? haha. Well, to everyone thinking of downloading this one, it's a MUST HAVE. It's one of the best Doom 3 levels I've played so far.

oh..my..God!!! This is clearly the best map I have ever played. It is even better then the T-lab and arena and sigma core. It shows why it took a year. This is what ID should seriously look as competition. My hats off to you for this masterpiece. Now I am not so sure about releasing my next map. (working on sequel to entrance to hell). I will be studying this map in detail for quite sometime.RockRockTwo Thumbs Up!

Good Job, awesome map, probably among the top ones I've played that don't crash my system. I couldn't beat it though, I kept chainsawing the final boss guy where the mom is, and when all his health died, it just showed the mom burning up, and then told me I lost frown. Anyway, I'd rate your map about a 9 out of 10.

Awesome map, I liked how you made the daughter all exorcist creepy, I also like the boss model and that new monster that's like a hell-knight on steroids with lightning, by the way, what's it called?

Thanks a lot for the comments everyone. I'm really glad that people are enjoying the map! The monster at the end is a remake of a Quake 1 enemy called the Shambler. I just used it in the level - it was created by a guy named Obi-Wan: http://home.telkomsa.net/obihb/

Great work, FINALY a mod where everyone doesnt get killed off before you get to them... I like the creepy girl, could do with some animation but its still a very good model.

WHY do ppl have to use these .bats and similar crap?? Means i cant get my tweaks to work, ie i have to play r e al l l y vanilla doom, with 75 percent laggier stuff frown DO a normal "start this map by bringing down console then type map yadayada" as everyone else plzzzz

I got the code in for the little safe in one of the bedrooms but the office down near the junction for tennis and game room has still got a safe and i cnat find the code! Anyone know it?

Superb, map was designed well and could definitly have been part of the main Doom 3 game.

Cool map, with good sounds and much more, but where's the exit?, And codes, a pda says that the code to exit the stage is 842 and is not and one is left locked but good map congratulations Download Mine are those who say, Develover: Benjamin Pulido.
