Description:
Facing Hell by StYl3:

1. Installation:
Drop the PK4 file into your Doom3/base folder (for me it is: C:/Programme/Doom 3/base) That's all!

2. Running the map:
After Doom3 has started, call up the console and enter "map fh".

eventhough the detail isn't great and it lacks polish..it's still a fun map
also, more health kits would be beneficial

definitely one of the better maps available
some of the later sections reminded me of the original DooM (which is a good thing!)
minor complaints:
could use a little 'touching up' here and there
some of the 'scenes' from the original DooM 3 are rehashed

This is a nicely designed map containing a few "secrets" and thought-provoking paths that you must discover to be able to complete the map. A few of the areas will remind you of some classic Doom/Doom II levels - especially with the snipers, well hidden monsters, puzzles, etc. A few of the areas will remind you of the original Doom 3 levels with their scary and atmospheric narrow passageways and monsters coming at you from the dark.

Unfortunately, this is a map for fairly advanced players. Right after the research area, you'll start noticing that there are no health kits where you'd expect them to be - in fact, they're rarely to be found. On my first attempt, I played through most of the map with less than 20 health units. There's also not much ammo when you start to run low, so don't waste a shot. The first time through the map, I killed a vagary using my pistol and shotgun, and wasted a hell knight by sniping at him with my shotgun from behind a barrier - in both cases, I used up most of the ammo I had at the time. I'm sure there is a chaingun to be found somewhere because I picked up a couple of ammo packs (including one that I had to walk a fine line to get to), but I never found the gun to actually use them.

All-in-all, a very cool map that will challenge you from start to finish if you take your time and explore every area in detail. Would like to see more health available as a reward for taking down some of the larger enemies/bosses toward the end.

Well, this map is very hard because there's not enough health. And i occured huge FPS drop when a monster spawned or there came alot of enemies at the same time. If your gonna make a new version, put more medkits.
