Hell Island (Final) - File Description  


Description:
This is a amazing mod by DaveTheFreak including 20 new maps, and much much more.

Story:
You came back from earth but there's no chance to rest.
The UAC send you to an island. And there you find out something...
I don't wanna tell more, because you'll see in the Mod.

Features:
- a lot of different maps
- weapons-settings changed
- new textures
- the Marine is able to speak, there are dia- and monologs in the game
- Soundtrack
- new background-music/sounds
- water for DX8 cards
- the story of Doom 3 will be continued
- new cutscenes
- 4 difficulties
- works on windows and on linux
- some new models
- 2 outros
- new medkit system (some medkits heal, some increase the armor or maybe both, depent on the chosen difficulty)

How to install:
Extract the hell-island-us.rar into the doom 3 directory (not base!).
Run Doom 3, select the Mod hell-island,
start a new game and select a difficulty.

Story:
You came back from earth but there's no chance to rest.

What I'm gonna do next, after Hell Island?
I think I'll get back to the beginning, cause I wanna map with WarCraft 3 (again).
And then... maybe I'll make a Prey Map or even a Modification. We'll see...

Known problems:
- the hud isn't visible sometimes, starting the game and then the Mod new helps
- sometimes particles are black ashlars, starting the game and then the Mod new helps

I've made this Mod on an 2,4GHz PC with an GeForce 4Ti4200, 512 MB-Ram.
This Mod is made with Doom 3 Version 1.1, it'll works on all Doom 3 installations.
This Mod takes more than year. The Compile time... toooooooo much! :D

Extra-level:

The level island_hell wasn't good enough for me, so this level isn't anymore a story-
level. But if you wanna play it, load the mod and type "map village_hell_1" into the
console. Apply with enter.

PS:
If there are any virus or stuff like that, it's not my fault. Cause you get the same
version that the tester had played, and the had no problem with stuff like that.
So, if there should be something like this, it's not my fault, I gave you a version
that normally is checked with a virus programm. But if there is a virus, tell me!
So I have to stop the downloads and make a new version.
What I want so say is, that I'll not responsible if there are a virus or stuff like
that in the Hell Island directory. But if there wil be, it's not my fault, someone
other had done this.
