i type in TESTMAP mancubus and waited, the theme song played twice thats hong long i waited; why no work frown

i had it two b4 but dont type TESTMAP type map mancubus

type "map mancubus" in console..it will then go to menu..once again type "map mancubus"..it should load properly then.

a pretty good, smallish map..hopefully, a more polished version will be released.
this is still one of the better maps available..
noticed a few things:
-frame rate sluggish at times
-flashlight didn't work properly for majority of level (at least on MY computer)
-"report" wasn't sent to pda
-"cosmetic" glitches on bridge access panel (unless it was SUPPOSED to look like that)
-part where a pipe emits unnecessarily loud sound
-grammatical errors in pda message
-noticed 2 texture anomalies
-not much room to manoeuver in fight with mancubus

agree with 9. There should be a better room to fight the mancubus plus there are framerate problems where it gets sluggish - deffinetly! But this was a great map to play and i enjoyed it - thanks smile

i just replayed this map with updates to DooM 3 [v1.2] and my video card
(which i think was the source for a few of the problems i had earlier)
-this time i did have to type testmap mancubus to get it to work
(it will sit at the menu for a couple of minutes then proceed to load)
-the flashlight worked correctly
-only noticed one texture problem this time (room where the mancubus appears)
-the glitches where still on the bridge access panel..but AGAIN maybe it supposed
to look like that
-frame rate was pretty good (i played it @ high quality this time...i think i may have played it on ultra the first time)
regarding some of the nitpicking i pointed out:
-if you get close to the mancubus, i think their is a pillar or something you can use to shield yourself when battling him
-the sound isn't that annoying...i don't know why i listed that before

And, NOT, it does NOT require v1.3.1 or v1.3.0 but is recommended either way for any mod or map or anything to be installed first and foremost !!! big grin
