| Ninja Tournament (v1.2) - File Description |
 |
Description: Ninja Tournament is a sword fighting simulation for the doom3 engine. Player movement is controlled by the keyboard and the sword position is directly controlled by mouse movements. As with any sword, the quality of the weapon is the most important factor (just remember what a Hatori Hanzo sword can do...), so, you should take proper care to select your weapon (i.e. the mouse), as bad weapons either don't have a good grip, or don't react very well to quick swings...
Also, if you want to excel at sword fighting, you should learn to maximize your skill: a good swing with the katana involves speed, accuracy and the proper movement direction.
In the singleplayer game, two challenges are included and some original Doom3 maps are available. In the challenges you need to fight against a series of monsters that spawn into the tournament. The single player game plays similar to standard Doom3. Note that Hellborg has stated that the original Doom3 maps were extensively, but not fully tested.
The multiplayer game includes two original and the 5 standard Doom3 multiplayer maps.

Drop me a line (leif@gravity-music.net) if you wish to
contribute. Maps, monsters, AI or animations are welcome.
This mod should also be compatible with most custom made
single player or multiplayer maps. For adding custom multi-
player maps, change the gametype of the map (in the maps.def
file) to 'ninja tournament'.
Known bugs:
-------------------------------------------------------------
-only the server plays the sounds indicating blocked attacks.
The client plays the same sound regardless, if the attack was
blocked or not.
-Server search function might not be fully functional. IP
connect works fine right now. Please report any problems or
success setting up multiplayer games.
