| Origin Facility: Revisited (1) - File Description |
 |
Description:
If you enjoyed the original release of this MultiPlayer map: Origin Facility, then you're in for a treat! We have an updated version to tickle your fancy, and enhance your Doom gaming experience!
Ice Weasel brings you this 55 meg bundle of gaming fun, even if he has a somewhat dismal view on the future of Doom III; He is under the impression that D3 MP is no longer enjoyed by many, (and he is wrong, right? right?? Anyways..) however, he still uses it as a test bed for all sorts of nefarious engine-based tomfoolery. Because of this, he (as well as D3Files) is happy to present the Origin Facility: Revisited - the big, dirty, unwashed brother of the Origin Facility. It's dreary, it's derelict, and it's deserted....
This is a very intense map, visually speaking, and was originally intended to look good more than anything else. there are a lot of particle effects and details with brushwork and lighting. as such, older computers might not be wholly up to scratch with running it.
Refer to the readme for additional information.

Game : Doom3 multiplayer
Info : I know nobody plays d3mp nowadays, but I like to use it as a test bed for all sorts of nefarious engine-based tomfoolery. To that end, I present the Origin Facility: Revisited - the big, dirty, unwashed brother of the Origin Facility.
A note from the author: this is a very intense map, visually speaking, and was originally intended to look good more than anything else. there are a lot of particle effects and details with brushwork and lighting. as such, older computers might not be wholly up to scratch with running it. in an attempt to set your mind at ease, I get no problems with having a solid 60fps (capped) throughout, running it on a quad core q6600 @ 2.4ghz, 4gb ram and an 8800gtx 768mb video card.

Construction time : one week
Custom stuff : custom textures (incl. skybox)
: custom particles
: custom music track
Known bugs/issues : none that I know of. the map has been subject to much a rigorous grooming before it was deemed fit for release.

: music: '24 Ghosts III' by Nine Inch Nails from the album 'Ghosts I-IV'
: credit goes to Boxy at www.boxart.co.uk for the original Origin Facility, as this map has taken that level layout of his and run naked, drunken and screaming into the night with it.
danke to : labrat (www.labratnet.co.uk), for pushing me to spend an ungodly amount of hours in the particle editor.
: cal, for not liking it. *slap
