Rematch - File Description  


Description:
A small, fun map meant to take no more than 10 minutes (worse-case scenario). It's meant to be a challenge, but let me know if anything is overkill. wink Also, it's a recreation of an old, classic battle that everyone who played old-school Doom should remember. smile

=== THE STORY ===

You once again play as the marine hero who once battled on Phobos against a horrible, unspeakable
evil. After battling through Hell itself and kicked the Spiderdemon's ass, you obliterated the remaining
horde of baddies on Earth and saved the remaining Human Race.
While sitting in your apartment, with your laz-y-boy chair reclined all the way back, you enjoy
reruns of Seinfeld. You jump to your feet when a demonic aura surrounds you. Taking on the form of a gas,
the aura enters within you--it becomes unbearable. Your lungs give way and you collapse to the floor. All
throughout your head, a cryptic voice booms: 'I demand a rematch!!!'
Ignoring the voice, you pass out, unable to comprehend this strange occurance. You awaken to find
your self in an inquisitive, yet familiar environment. A horid stench invades your nostrils. It is a stench
you know all too well. The smell of burning flesh.
'Where am I and what the hell is going on,' is what all you think as you clumsily climb to your
feet. This is where you come in. :)

=== THE DIRECTIONS ===

Here's the boring, yet useful stuff that mostly the noobs should take seriously:

If you haven't done so yet, please unzip all .zip file contents into THE DOOM 3 FOLDER.

***DO NOT UNZIP THE CONTENTS INTO YOUR BASE FOLDER, OR YOU'LL SCREW UP DOOM 3 AND START CRYING!!***

Next, run Doom 3, open the Mods menu, and select 'Rematch!' Doom 3 will do a bunch of reloading
crap, then you'll be back at the main menu.

Bring down the console (ctrl+alt+~), then type in 'map rematch'. No don't include the quotation
marks, you crazy D3 fanboy! XD

Enjoy the map!

lame prologue, didn't I? ;)

Awesome job. I remember how I would always watch my brother playing the old games when I was little, and whenever he'd let me play,. I'd always ask for this one. Very nicely done. Did you use the original soundtrack for this or was this a completely different song? Just wondering. Great map, only opinion I have is that it could stand to be a little brighter, but whatever, it turned out amazing man.

I think the map is called 'Tower of Doom' for Final Doom, but if someone could remake that, it would be awsomewink

Anyway nice map, I havn't played it yet, but I'm going to because good feedback and screens
