Description:

This is a little extraction from the Ultimate Mod (Ultimate Weapons by Bloodrayne / Bastian).

It's the night vision goggles standalone. I grabbed them to incorporate into a tactical mod for LAN night. They are by far the coolest mod for those who aren't playing vanilla Doom 3. Double thanks to Bloodrayne for pointing me in the right direction over at Doom3World.

(P.S: It doesn't ruin the game like weapon flashlights, space marines would totally have night vision. End of. And yes, I do love the original flashlight for all it's scare value...)

	Readme File: ============================================= noodledog's Stolen Night Vision Goggles! BETA ============================================= ============ Installation ============ Just extract the contents of the zip to *doom3nightvision. Don't install in the base folder. ===== Usage ===== Run the mod, and bind <key> "toggle nvon". ================ Combining / Bugs ================ Tested as working with 1.3 & 1.3.1. It's also quite easy to incorporate into your own mods. Just copy over the files (watch out for conflicts with your existing mod's files), and be sure to combine ai_player.script & doom_main.script in the 'Script' folder with your own, as they do most of the work. There is an issue with the mod lighting up maps like crazy. According to Bloodrayne it's related to the game entering cinematic mode. I have yet to test properly. Once it's fixed i'll up an Alpha release. The reticle is slightly biased to the left. hello, and please pardon my ignorance, but , i cannot get this to work... i extracted it into a new "nightvision" folder in the DOOM3 directory, i oppen comman and try to toogle it using "nvon #" but nothing happens... : a tip? anyone? thank you!

its pretty much the same coding as the Headlight Toggler mod, one of my mods has that smile

this is awesome, every new doom3 player should dl this as first mod,
hard to imagine playing doom now without this stick out tongue

how do i get permission to incorporate this into my new upcoming mod??

And is there any plans on doing a infraRed version, cuss that would be cool, if Sof2 could have it then doom3 should deff have it big grin

After installing this mod, it works fine if I start a new game. But if I exit the game all the way to desktop, then reopen the game, then select nightvision in mods, then load a saved game, it no longer works.

Also fails to work on reloaded game after exiting to desktop via +set fs_game nightvision command.
