Weapons No Gib (1.0) - File Description  


Description:
This is a very basic and simple mod that makes all ballistic arm weapons no longer gib.
NOTE that this will not change the corpses, monsters or characters at all. Only the weapon "defs". Also, this won't remove the daemon's burn away effect.

This is a very simple mod that makes some type of weapons no longer gib the bodies.
NOTE that this doesn't mean daemons will never burn away, or stay forever. Only bodies from humans (any kind, undeath or living) will stay and never be gibbed (unless using a specifical weapon of course)

Weapons that have been modified are fists, pistol, shotgun, machinegun and chaingun. I wanted to modify the flashlight, but due to not finding the command to remove gibbing, I couldn't.

Weapons that weren't modified are the rocket launcher, plasmagun, BFG, Soulcube and chainsaw.

NOTE: This mod was not tested on "Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil", but because both games are basically the same, I believe they will both work.
Another side note, this changes the definitions of these weapons, if you use a tweaked def file, do not use this one.

I made this for people unknown to tweaking or are too lazy to do it.

If you want to use this on a mod, you're welcome. I didn't do anything at all but just tweak commands on these weapons so they won't gib.
Put me in credits if you use this though, I would appreciate it a lot.

Posts: 12 		Forgot to add it in the readme.

To install it, drag the .pk4 file on it to your Doom 3 directory and put it in a file called "base".

If you disliked this mod, and want to remove it, then just simply delete the .pk4 file.

Posts: 12 		I made a 1.1 of this, but it seems it isn't being uploaded. That one contains for anyone that has the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack.
