Description:
Just a day after releasing my "Weapons No Gib" for Doom 3, I decided to do this for Resurrection of Evil.

Now the double shotgun no longer gibs! Have fun with another step to game realism.

This very basic and simple mod will make all the ballistic weapons ungibbable. Making a more realistic gameplay experience.

Weapons modified: Fists, pistol, shotgun, machinegun and chaingun.
Weapons unmodified: Grenade, plasma gun, rocket launcher, BFG and Soulcube.

NOTE: This might modify some def values if you use custom weapon mods, although not tested. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

And notice that this is not exactly a gib mod, as all it does is make small arm weapons no longer gib any bodies, zombies and humans no more. Nothing has been modified with the Daemon "burn away" effect.

[How to Install]

For Doom 3, all you have to do is drag the "z_d3wng.pk4" file located in "Original Doom 3" to your Doom 3 "base" folder.

For Resurrection of Evil, just drag the "z_d3wngxp.pk4" file in "Resurrection of Evil" to your Doom 3 "d3xp" folder.

[Bugs]

None to be found by me or other testers. If you find one, do not hesitate to tell me. But MAKE SURE you're not using any type of weapon mods/tweaks.

[About & Credits]

I made this simply for realism, fun and experiment. I also wanted to do this for Filefront community, as I NEVER saw a mod for this, or the expansion. Except GTX, but that one has no support for the 1.3.1 patch.

I wanted and tried to modify the flashlight too, but it didn't have the defs so I decided to leave it as it is. Even though, it seems the flashlight isn't exactly used much for combat.

No need to ask me if you can use this for your mod or projects, you can. But please add me on your credits, I would highly appreciate it.

Posts: 771 		i cant say that i made a mod specifically for avoiding gibbing, which is something i never liked, but i madethe zombies behave like the demons, ie having them burn away after 3-4 seconds (or whatever numerical value of ones choice, its easy to change in a cpl of def files) in almost all of my small mods i uploaded here, so its nice to know theres others that dont like gibbing either smile

Posts: 12 		I love gibbing, but it's dumb to see a very puny gun like the pistol can gib a person. Or worse yet, the fists/flashlight. It's just realism.

Posts: 765 		I enjoy gibbing, if the weapon being used makes sense...it should be a powerful weapon that does the gibbing, so with this, I agree with Strogglet15. Sounds like an interesting mod...maybe I'll give it a whirl later on1

Posts: 12 		Did I just forgot again? I guess I did. I forgot to tell you that the flashlight was not modified because it seemed to be not possible to do so, so yeah, sorry for that.
