A) Doom III is being developed by id software, who originally created Doom, back in 1993.

Q) What was the original Doom like?
A) Doom 1, along with it's sequel, Doom II, was both scary, immersive and incredible at the same time. The graphics were breathtaking at the times, and the overall quality of the game was just amazing. Doom 1 gave birth to the FPS genre, allowing games like Quake, Unreal and many more to be created.

Q) So, when is Doom III released then?
A) Nobody really knows. Would be a bit too easy to say, when it's done, wouldn't it? We can only guess. id software themselves, claim that the game will be released in 2003, and December 2003 is the 10th anniversary of the original Doom, so it seems somewhat appropriate to release the sequel at that time.

Q) Will Doom III be scary, like the original Doom?
A) Doom III will nodoubt be the most scary game ever released on a PC.

Q) What are the system specs for Doom III?
A) The late release of Doom III, makes it possible for gamers worldwide, to upgrade their computers in time. You will need Ge-force 3 or better to experience Doom III fully. The game 'will' be playable on a Ge-force 2 GTS, but you would have to turn off all the features that make Doom III look great.

Q) Will Doom III have multiplayer?
A) Doom III will definately have multiplayer, but id software is only planning on a simple deathmatch part. They want to concentrate on the Singleplayer experience, making it the ultimate gaming experience.

Q) What engine will Doom III use?
A) Doom III is based on a completly new engine from id software, Mr. Carmack and his team has created an engine capable of creating the most realistic enviroments in a game ever. The engine features bumbmapping, dynamic lightning, realistic surfaces, full surroundsound, and many more technical stuff.

Q) Who will be doing the music in Doom III?
A) Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails, is doing the music for Doom III.

Q) Was the Doom III E3 presentation leaked on purpose?
A) No the Doom III presentatioon from E3 2002 was NOT leaked on purpose by id software. It was leaked by a company co-operating with id software. We suggest that you refrain from posting any material related to the alpha on our boards or in our comments.
