  Dawn of the Dead mod - Mods

We have some great news for those of you that have been longing for some Dawn of the Dead Mod news! birritan has stopped by and left us with some much needed information on where the mod stands now, and what we can expect to see when it's releasd. According to the developer, the mod will be a little lighter when it's made public then what was originally planned...

Its been a very long time since I posted anything involving the mod I've been working on. Sadly due to illness the mod has gone stale for a long time now. I'm now concentrating on mapping and will get as much done as I can and release whatever I have at the end of it.

I had planned for more weapons and such but in my current situation this just isnt possible anymore. Also many cutscenes planned are being dropped so it will be more of a singleplayer map pack with LOTS and LOTS of custom goodies.

I know one or two people will be saddened and most will have thought this mod died a slow death. This isn't really how I wanted the mod to end up and it's a shadow of what it was supposed to be but hopefully it will still look cool and interesting.

So watch this space for a release very soon - and again I'm sorry folks, I let you down frown

I wondered what had come of this mod. I remember reading about it in what seems like years ago. Glad to see something will come of it, and I will be eagerly awaiting this one.

I hope some of the other big mods like Recall to Hell, Hexen: Edge of Chaos, and The Dark Mod don't abruptly end development too. There hasn't been updates from any of'em in a while either.

Good to see it's still alive. Coming from someone that understands working on a massive total conversion, this is good news in itself. I'm glad he's chosen to release what he's got thus far.

I'm interested in the drop weapons (not to mention the ability to have many many weapons in the game) as well as the overall "feel" of this mod. It looks like it will be a good one...! I know how hard working alone on mods and projects can be. Keep it up!

this looks awsome but what happend to the RESIDENT EVIL MOD FOR DOOM!
i first heard about this mod right after i heard about resident evil mod so i have been waiting for resident evil mod

and theres a starwars mod for doom coming out some time or was.Pimp!
