  LMS Coop News - IGF Mod Competition Finalist, Macologist MotY Awardee and More! - Hosted Mods

Last Man Standing Coop has been selected as a Finalist for the IGF (Independent Games Festival) Mod Competition! You can read the full Gamasutra story here: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=7796 As a note the IGF is a part of the GDC in San Jose, CA, which you can find more information about at http://www.gdconf.com Both AO and I at the very least will be attending so look for us there! If you are interested in meeting up with us get in contact.

The organizers of the 2006 Independent Games Festival have announced the finalists in this year's inaugural IGF Modding Competition, highlighting the best in innovative, creative independent 'mods' created in Half-Life 2, NeverWinter Nights, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Doom 3. [...] The Mod Competition winners in each category will be announced at the IGF Awards Ceremony on March 22nd during GDC 2006.

Doom 3 mods sometimes don't get as much press, but this mod is one that should be highlighted as one that should be played more often. If you haven't tried it, you should. It's great fun with a group of players, and the mod team has been open and willing to work with Mac gamers to ensure compatibility. The mod has been through several cycles and now stand at a truly fantastic version 2.0.

I just want to let everyone know that the release for Last Man Standing Coop 3.0 is quickly approaching! We have entered a final bug testing phase and we hope to have the final version out within the next few days! The only thing that would slow us down is an unexpected bug cropping up. 3.0 is going to be well worth the wait with the Classic Doom Mod integration, all the bug fixes and new features. 3.0 is an extremely solid release and I can't believe how vastly improved it is beyond 2.0! Also it will be including two new maps and a new model! Here below are some new screens of what is on the way, they are the four most recent screenshots.

Almost a year and a half later and Doom 3 is still kickin A, i love this game.
